hi, there.

I’m Avery. I’m the parent of two young kiddos who definitely keep me on my toes. I practice yoga and mindfulness, but not religiously. I like to mix up my reading genres, sometimes escaping into fantasy or historical fiction, and sometimes diving deep into therapeutic or self-help stuff. I have more half-read books than I can count. I value deep, authentic relationships and feel that this enhances my ability to connect with my clients.

Becoming a parent while trying to balance a career and a relationship absolutely ROCKED me to my core. I felt like I had always been able to handle it all with ease, but somewhere along the line, it started to feel like I was floundering. Through my own therapy, I was able to learn how to slow down and be more gentle with myself. I was able to learn how to embrace the sometimes messy parts of life and accept that I am a human with flaws just like everyone else.

I work with women who have high expectations for themselves and often have a hard time admitting or even identifying that they need help. They desperately want meaningful connections with others, but find being vulnerable to feel really scary. They want to be able to better balance the overwhelming responsibilities that come with all of the roles that they play. They want to be able to find space to breathe in the constantly moving world around them.

Many of the women that I work with experience symptoms of anxiety, trauma, and ADHD, many being undiagnosed or late-diagnosed ADHD.
